Saw my first real Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol today at the Tate Modern!

Cake Britain - A Mad Artists Tea Party

I went to a cake exhibtion today. A fantastic exhibition that is housed in the Future Gallery which is a cosy delightful little gallery. Greeted at the door by colourful ballons and cupcakes on a tiered stand the friendly mad artists bunch look quirky and a little offbeat but not mad! Lots of cake making, biscuit word eating and marvelous imaginative sugary sculptures makes this something to go and experience. All that is on display is made to be eaten by the audience mmm delicious! http://www.madartiststeaparty.com/

Yellow Flags

Oooh just spent a lovely day on the Southbank. Had a delicious lunch at the restaurant above the Design Museum in Southwark called Blue Print, then strolled down towards London Bridge. A little peek at the Borough market and then we headed off towards Waterloo. A band of yellow flags lined the Festival Hall and we stopped to have a look and were lured by beaty, bongo drum music and before we knew what had happened we were in a Brazilian dance class! Lots of hip movements and shakin' made this dance class so much fun! Unfortunately it was a bit overcast and dreary today, but nevermind fun was had by all. Oh and for the first time I saw purple tinged mushrooms!

Mr Kind and the Sailing Shoe

So its been a full week back in the BIG smoke, and what can I say summer has flown past. I'm afraid a little drizzle between some sunshine is about the only rays I'm seeing at the moment. Never fear where London doesn't make up for weather it certainly makes up for in people and places. Like for instance today has been a long day and I wait at the bus stop for the red giant to come along the road and take me to my destination. I get on the bus when it finally arrives shuffle along and my shoe gets stuck on the side of a chair, and I pull to get to free and my shoes pops off and sails along down the bus in mid air. I start blushing hiding my stockinged shoeless foot, trying to catch my shoe in mid air when a stranger Mr Kind kindly and calmy picks up my shoe and hands it back! Thank you to the Gentleman to helped me on the 281 bus.
